GROUP EXPERIANCES

Our Arctic Culture Packages are a perfect fit for companies that are interested in organizing meetings, doing activities that promote work ethic and motivation as well as team building, or to simply entertain guests. The Arctic Culture Packages are also suited for private groups who want’s a unique museum experience.

The Culture Packages that we offer are designed according to different topics. We always tailor our packages for our customers wishes and needs, for example, you can always cobine a culture package with a smoke sauna experiance and catering/coffee. Please note that the catering companies’ fees are not included in the different packages’ prices.

If requested we can also offer archery through our collaboration with Outside Kallan.

Arctic Evening

The evening begins with a guided tour of the museum grounds and the inside of the museum: You’ll learn about arctic cultures and arctic people, exciting tales of polar bears and arctic expeditions, as well as Nanoq’s own history. This is followed by a dinner provided by one of our local catering companies, served in the Goichman Gallery, The Big Cabin, or the Museum Hall. When the food has been savored, it’s off to the smoke sauna which stays warm for the rest of the evening. The Sauna comfortably accommodates 10-15 people and if you don’t want to be crowded, you can choose to bathe in turns. If you don’t want to bathe in the smoke sauna at all, then you can instead stroll around the museum to take a closer look at our exhibitions. Alternatively, can you continue the evening in the glow of the fire in the Big Cabin or at the wind shelter. Snacks will be served later in the
evening.

Nanoq Nature Challenge

The day starts with a short introduction of the Nanoq museum, followed by the introduction of the day’s program. The program puts the participants’ teamwork and survival skills to the test, and at the same time they get to learn more about the Arctic and the outdoors. The participants rotate between different stations which includes tasks that need practical-, knowledge-based- or different types of problem solving. When the program is over there will be an active and cooperative participant who will be named the priced title Nanoq Champion

Nanoq Conference

Are you planning to organize a meeting or a workshop for your company or association? After your own program, we can serve some coffee or some other snacks, and if you have a bigger appetite then our local catering companies may be of service. Thereafter follow a guided tour of Nanoq and you may learn more about the museum’s history, the Arctic and its people. When the guided tour is over then we may offer a program with different teamwork exercises, if one wishes. The cabins are open the entire day and when there is time it’s possible to go around and explore. If you want to end the day on a more luxurious note then we can offer a relaxing experience in our smoke sauna.

Nanoq Adventure

This package is designed for a bigger group to be able to do Nanoq Escape. The maximum amount of people that participate per escape game is 8 people, the group then gets split into smaller groups who rotate between Nanoq Escape and other programs. The other programs are adventurous to their character, for example archery, or other
types of teamwork exercises.

Nanoq Relax

This package is meant to soothe and open up the senses for the beautiful nature that surrounds Nanoq. Start your visit with a guided hike in the forest, including various relaxation exercises and then enjoy some snacks at the wind shelter. This is followed by a short guided tour of the museum, and after the guided tour you may continue the rest of the evening relaxing in the smoke sauna’s soft warmth.

ART-ic Retreat

In this package, you get the best of both worlds: art and wine. Initially, you will get acquainted with Arctic artworks and Nanoq’s collections, and for the rest of the evening, wine and painting are combined. We also offer the opportunity to receive guidance throughout the evening from the artist Linda Honka.

Traditional coffee experiance

Yhteistyössä Roger’s Coffeen kanssa

Coffee spread to Finland in the 18th century, and it wasn’t as easy to make a cup of coffee as it is today. In this package, you will learn about the history of coffee and coffee culture in Finland, as well as how to prepare coffee in the old way: We roast the beans over an open fire, grind them, and brew “Cowboy” coffee. A cozy and relaxed moment by the fire with a cup of coffee, what could be better than that?
